বলিউডের এক নামজাদা অভিনেতা মেয়ে হয়েও, তারকার বিশেষ সুবিধাপ্রাপ্ত সন্তান হওয়ার পরও কেন অবসাদগ্রস্ত হয়ে পড়েন! সম্প্রতি এমনই প্রশ্নের সামনে পড়তে হয় আমির খান এবং রিনা দত্তের মেয়ে ইরা খানকে। মানসিক অবসাদ নিয়ে কথা বলার পর যখন ইরা খানকে বিভিন্ন ধরনের প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি পড়তে হয়, তখন এবার তাঁর স্পষ্ট উত্তর দিলেন আমির-কন্যা।

Shouldn’t I instead get up and try and fix things? And if I can’t do that for myself? নিজের ইনস্টাগ্রাম হ্যান্ডেলে একটি ভিডিয়ো শেয়ার করেন ইরা খান। যেখানে অবসাদ নিয়ে কথা বলার পাশাপাশি কেন তিনি মনমরা থাকতেন এক সমযয়, সে বিষয়েও খোলসা করেন। ইরা বলেন, মাত্র ১৪ বছর বয়সে যৌন হেনস্থার মুখোমুখি হন তিনি। যখন তাঁকে ওই দুঃসহ অভিজ্ঞতার মুখে পড়তে হয়, সে বিষয়ে ইমেল করে বাবা-মাকে তিনি সবকিছু জানিয়েছিলেন। এরপর ওই দুঃসহ পরিবেশ থেকে মা-বাবাই তাঁকে টেনে বর করে আনেন।

যৌন হেনস্থা কী এবং কেন তাঁর সঙ্গে ওই ধরনের ঘৃন্য কাজ করা হচ্ছে, তা প্রথমে বুঝে উঠতে পারেননি। পরে বাবা-মায়ের সাহায্যে অবসাদের জাল কেটে তিনি বেরিয়ে আসতে শুরু করেন। অবসাদের জাল কেটে বেরিয়ে আসার পর আর কখনও তাঁকে ওই ধরনের দুঃসহ অভিজ্ঞতার সম্মুখীন হতে হয়নি বলে জানান ইরা খান।
